Massimiliano De Leo  |  Italy

Massimiliano De Leo is an Italian architect who graduated from the prestigious Polytechnic University of Turin as Magna cum Laude. He has worked in Italy, Austria, Hungary, and Asia, where he had the opportunities to collaborate with internationally prominent studios, such as Massimiliano Fuksas in Rome. He had also contributed in the creation of high-class interiors like that of Giorgio Armani’s boutique. As he continually hones his craft in architecture, he had quite a remarkable set of achievements. In 2004, he presented the project, “Metamorfosi a Torino”, as part of the 9th Edition of the Venice International Architecture Biennial. In 2005, he won first place in the international contest, “Progettare con un metro cubo di legno” (“Building with one cubic meter of wood”). In 2006, he became founder and first president of the research association, A+Surface, at the Polytechnic University of Turin. And in 2008, his graduate thesis was selected by the XXIII UIA World Congress in Turin. Massimiliano has been collaborating with Other Furniture® since 2017. He designed the highly successful “Biella” collection that was used at Sushi Be restaurant in Biella, Italy. Since then, he became one of the key designers of the brand.

Pierre de Montigny  |  FRANCE

French designer and architect, Pierre de Montigny, practiced design since 2013 and is currently based in Paris. After graduating in Tournai (Belgium), he had exclusive opportunities to work in different countries including Netherlands, Switzerland, and Japan. During his career, he worked for Rem Koolhaas/OMA, one of the most progressive architects in the last 30 years. Pierre was also involved in projects like New Town Hall for Rotterdam, Ile De Seguine Cultural District Concept, and Koningin Julianaplein in The Hague. In 2013, he established studio Mutations in Paris, focusing on small scale projects like industrial and residence interior designs. His design philosophy focuses on simplicity and multi-functionality.  He joined Other Furniture® in 2018 and had since contributed greatly in designs involving marble, metal and wood textures.

Jenny Han   |  SOUTH KOREA

Jenny is interested in fashion and art since young. She obtained a degree in Design and Fine Art in Seoul. With ample of experiences in working for multinational companies, she chose to settle in design industry as her strength is doing space planning and is continuously improving. Her design talent is translated into her work mostly on furniture, wall art and space decoration. She is capable to analyze all art solutions and propose the most appropriate design. Her experiences enable her to work in big teams, as well as a solo designer who is able to foster close relationship with clients. She is part of Other Furniture® since 2018 as in-house designer.

Lukas Drasnar  |  CZECH REPUBLIC

Equipped with the wide experience in design and architecture, Lukas Drasnar is the visionary behind Other Furniture®. He pursued his architectural studies in Liberec (Czech Republic); achieving his Bachelor’s degree in Brighton (UK); and subsequently his Master of Architecture in Edinburgh (UK).  While studying, Lukas had various opportunities to work with world renowned architects such as Rem Koolhaas/OMA, Mecanoo (Netherlands), Shigeru Ban (Japan), Dominique Perrault (France) Behnisch Architekten (Germany) and Massimiliano Fuksas (Italy). To add to his impressive credentials, he had worked in countries including UK and the Czech Republic before settling in Singapore. His international experience transcends in his designs, which demonstrate the fusion of eastern and western aesthetics. After 5 years of developing his craft in Singapore, he founded Other Furniture® with the aim to create high quality and durable furniture that pushes the borders of furniture making in terms of functionality and design.

Nuno Filipe Santos  |  PORTUGAL

Nuno Filipe Santos is a Portuguese landscape architect whose specialty is on outdoor furniture designs. During his professional years, he has worked across California, Brazil, Portugal, Middle East and South East Asia. He is particularly interested in teak wood usage and outdoor finishing methods. His transformative designs are notable for simplicity and durability. Filipe has been collaborating with Other Furniture® since 2017 and had since participated in setting up the brand’s first boutique showroom in Singapore.

Santiago Restrepo Arias  |  Colombia

Santiago is a young designer originally from Colombia. Currently residing in Italy, he represents the fresh generation of progressive designers. His South American roots reflects his creative work, with its plainness approach and unexpected detailing. Santiago is interested in 3D generated forms that can be transformed to solid wood or stone. Collaboration between Other Furniture® and Santiago started in 2019.
